Anker unveils its own AI chip for portable devices
The company introduced a custom chip that enables local AI processing in audio, mobile accessories, and IoT gadgets.

Anker announced its own custom silicon chip, designed to bring artificial intelligence directly to its products. The processor, called "Thus," is the world's first neural-net compute-in-memory AI audio chip, making it smaller and more power-efficient.
This breakthrough allows smaller devices to incorporate AI features without relying on external hardware or constant internet connection. According to Anker CEO Steven Yang, "Every AI chip built until now stores the model on one side and does the computation on the other. Now, with Thus, everything happens in one place".
The chip's compact size and efficiency make it ideal for portable gadgets and IoT devices that need local processing. Anker’s innovation aims to improve device autonomy and response speed, enhancing user experiences in headphones, mobile accessories, and connected gadgets.
This development marks a significant step toward integrating AI into everyday consumer devices, enabling smarter features without cloud dependence. The tech community anticipates new applications and improved functionalities emerging from this technology.
