Apple expects months to catch up with Mac mini and Mac Studio demand

Apple CEO Tim Cook explained that component shortages are impacting the entire industry. He highlighted that the popularity of these desktops among users seeking to run AI tools and agents locally has driven demand beyond expectations.

"Both the Mac mini and the Mac Studio are incredible platforms for AI and agentic tools, and customer recognition of that is happening faster than we predicted."

Cook added that it could take several months for supply and demand to balance out for these products. This trend underscores how the growing adoption of AI technologies among users is fueling the need for powerful hardware, complicating supply chains further.
