Apple TV Gains Ground in US Streaming Market in 2026
Recent data shows Apple TV's growing audience in the US, closing the gap with Netflix and Prime Video.

In the United States, Apple TV is gaining ground in the streaming scene, according to early 2026 data. The platform has increased its share of viewers as competition intensifies among major players like Netflix and Prime Video. During the first quarter, Apple TV's audience share rose to 12%, narrowing the gap with the leaders.
The JustWatch report, based on over 35 million streaming interactions, shows Netflix leading at 19%, followed by Prime Video with 17%. Disney+ remains strong at 16%. The trend indicates that, although large catalogs still matter, the market is becoming more competitive.
Over the past few years, streaming giants built massive libraries, but this abundance started to backfire. Viewers now feel overwhelmed by so many options, benefiting smaller or more curated platforms. Apple TV, with its focus on quality content, is starting to capitalize on this shift.
This market shift highlights a key point: content saturation can hinder the biggest services, while platforms that better understand user preferences have more growth opportunities.
