Apple was caught off guard by MacBook Neo's overwhelming demand
Since its launch in March, the MacBook Neo has exceeded Apple's expectations, driving record-breaking sales and new customer interest.

The MacBook Neo, Apple's most affordable laptop, was introduced in March and quickly became a huge hit. Customer response has been so strong that Apple didn't anticipate the level of enthusiasm it would generate. During a recent earnings call, CEO Tim Cook stated that demand has been "off the charts," surpassing all projections.
Cook explained that although Apple was optimistic before the launch, the actual demand far exceeded their expectations. This surge has led many users to buy their first Mac, while others who had been holding onto their older models are now upgrading. The MacBook Neo's success has boosted sales and helped Apple set new records for first-time Mac buyers.
Due to the high demand, Apple is currently facing supply constraints. The online store in the U.S. shows a delivery estimate of 2 to 3 weeks for all configurations of the MacBook Neo. The company attributes this situation to the overwhelming interest and limited production capacity at this time.
The MacBook Neo starts at $599 in the U.S., powered by the A18 Pro chip from the iPhone 16 Pro. It comes in colors like Citrus, Blush, Indigo, and Silver. Its release included pre-orders a week prior, marking a new approach by Apple to offer more affordable, accessible products.
The demand for the MacBook Neo has exceeded Apple's expectations, leading to record sales and attracting new users.
