BRINC Unveils Guardian: The Police Drone with Starlink and High-Speed Pursuit
Drone startup BRINC has introduced Guardian, a law enforcement drone featuring Starlink connectivity and the ability to carry life-saving medical payloads.
Drone startup BRINC announced a major upgrade for its law enforcement technology on Tuesday. The company’s latest model, Guardian, will feature Starlink connectivity on every unit—marking a first for commercially available drones in this sector.
Scheduled to enter production later this year, the Guardian boasts a flight time of over an hour and can reach top speeds exceeding 60 mph. According to BRINC, these capabilities make it the first drone specifically designed to pursue vehicles effectively during law enforcement operations.
The Guardian is also equipped to handle critical emergency situations beyond surveillance. From its automated charging 'nest,' the drone can carry various life-saving payloads, including defibrillators, flotation devices, EpiPens, and the overdose-reversal drug Narcan. The system also features a robotic battery-swapping mechanism that completes the process in about a minute, ensuring minimal downtime during urgent missions.
