Robotics manufacturer Figure revealed a groundbreaking demonstration of its Helix-02 models today. In the video, two humanoid robots manage to tidy a bedroom in under two minutes, performing tasks once considered highly complex for autonomous systems.

The footage shows the robots opening doors, hanging clothes, storing headphones, and closing books in a smooth choreography. One of their most impressive feats is balancing on one leg to operate a trash pedal and handling deformable objects like comforters.

This system, based on the Vision-Language-Action (VLA) policy, allows the robots to observe and interpret their environment using only cameras and movement cues, without wireless messaging or centralized planning.

Making the bed was the most challenging task, as it requires parallel work, handling deformable objects, and real-time decision-making. The technology enables the robots to lift, unfold, and smooth the comforter, correcting wrinkles instantly.

This milestone marks a significant step toward collaborative robots in homes and factories, capable of learning and executing complex tasks solely through visual data and reactive coordination.

Figure emphasizes that their system is highly generalizable, as it can expand to laundry, cleaning, and logistics tasks by simply adding more training data. The company envisions a future where these humanoids work naturally alongside humans in shared environments.
